The problem is only You, me, Jay Kline and Jeff ever post in the forums. The best bet would be to work out a Time and date for everyone to play a game at a location, assemble a group of people who you know plays, and invite everyone to come and watch. It is like pulling teeth to get people to show at my Magic tournaments. Not because no-one is playing, but because I have to use 4 different sources to contact people ( My forums, My Yahoo e-mail, Phone, Posting fliers). I might be interested in checking it out and seeing how it plays. The other major problem is investing into the game. I have literally spend thousands of dollars on Magic, another hobby with an expence would become taxing on my wallet. I would post some fliers around town and see if you draw some hits. The V.U. student union is a place to post some, Also the V.U. caffetiria. Drop some off at video rental places. Put them anywhere you can draw some exposer. Just because no-one rplies to your forum, that doesn't mean no-one is interested.

[color=#990000]It's probably not that anyone's not interested, a few of us that have blood bowl teams... well undead tend to be rather brutal in the game if played right. *chuckle* but your bound to find a few players around if you have some patience. Hell I see jay all too often... and never posted here till now (k jay, you can take that dagger from my back, I posted... jk)

So who would I talk to about learning to play? I can read the instructions till I'm blue in the face (though I should probably consider breathing while reading) but unless I'm interacting or discussing it with someone, I'll never remember it.

As with most games usually playing puts all those "what does that rule mean or do" into perspective. Hell I still find something new all the time in 40k or fantasy I didn't know about and I've been playing those for a bit.

Now, as a game, Blood Bowl is currently out of print. But that doesn't mean we won't play it, or be able to get things for it, you just have to be a little creative.

I don't think it's died out. Just yesterday someone mentioned wanting to play. The nice thing is the rules are free now from the specialist games site so we just need to make a pitch or two for people to play on. It's really easy to convert some teams too, I've converted a lizardman team, and teams and other minis are still available. I have the game and am willing to bring it down if I'm going to be there, just need to let me know ahead of time so I can break it out. I've got human, orc, lizardman, undead, and high elf teams that I can bring along for use as well.

Monday, Mar. 31, 2008: I need someone to take up the reigns on putting together a Blood Bowl League, if there is any interest in it. Please inquire within.

I'd still like to play. Is there a tournament coming up?

I've not been able to generate any responses on this topic. I guess if I don't hear anything within a week, I'll close this forum. If our minis players want approach any other kind of idea or league, let me know, I'll set up the forum for it. I'd be all for a Warlord skirmish league, or anything that doesn't involve huge forces.
